William Davis Phillips Bill went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2007 at the age of 60. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janet W. Phillips, his children, Davis Phillips and his wife Kari, Dana Dunham and her husband Chuck, brother Rusty Phillips and wife Becky, brother Bob Phillips and his wife Susan, grandchildren Lizzie, Annie and Rosie Dunham, and Willie and Jackson Phillips.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Betty Phillips, and granddaughter Katelyn Rose Dunham. Bill was born on May 2, 1947 in Austin, Texas and graduated from San Marcos High School. He received his Masters degree in Music from Southwest Texas State University. As a band director for more than 10 years, Bill touched thousands of young lives.

Following in his father's footsteps, he then went on to build a successful career in tourism and a family business, Phillips Entertainment, which operates three successful tourist attractions in San Antonio, Texas. Bill brought great joy and laughter to all who knew him, and he was often the life of the party. He and Janet are members of University United Methodist Church and served with Meals on Wheels for several years. Bill will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
