William Michael Scudder, 70, of San Marcos went home to be with our Lord on November 28, 2016. He was born December 18, 1945 in Oklahoma City to Hilbert and Dorothy Scudder.
He was educated in Norman, Oklahoma and attended The University of Oklahoma before being drafted into the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Michael was a longtime REALTOR, a Member of FRAR and previously the New Braunfels/Canyon Lake Association of REALTORS. He was the 2008 President of NBCLAR and 2009 Chairman of the Central Texas MLS. Michael played an integral part in the purchasing of the land the FRAR Board office is on and the building of their home. He was a true servant leader, always leading by example for the Agents within his office at Coldwell Banker D'Ann Harper Realtors and within the Board of Realtors.
He was a Member of New Braunfels Rotary, President of the GYLO Amputee Coalition, and a co-founder of the "Be Nice Express".
Michael leaves behind his devoted wife, Ruby, of 35 years. Possessing a Love that only Storybooks know, they inspired so many they came in contact with. They shared such a beautiful life together. He was also a loving stepfather of 4 children, grandfather of 5 and great-grandfather of 10. He had many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.
Viewing/Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 7th from 6:00-8:00 PM at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 North Loop 1604 East@ Gold Canyon.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Porter Loring Mortuary North. Pastor Rusty Rice presiding.
Burial to follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Michael and Ruby are members of Oakwood Baptist Church in New Braunfels. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Four Rivers Board of Realtors Scholarship Fund or the Wounded Warriors Project in Michael Scudders name.
